For Presenters
(Poster & Oral Presentation)

By participating as a presenter you will have the chance to present your latest research result in the form of oral and poster presentation. It is an excellent opportunity to engage in a discussion and receive feedback related to the cutting edge topic in biocatalysis field. Presentation is preferably in English, but Japanese is also accepted if you have difficulty.

For Participants
(Listeners, Non-Presenters)

By participating as a participant (non-presenter) you will have the chance to listen to the presentation and engage in a discussion in the research topic you are interested in.
Students who would like to participate as participant do not have to pay any registration fee. (Mixer fee is necessary.)

Registration for Presenters

Poster or Oral Presentation
The official language is English, but presentation in Japanese is also acceptable if you have any difficulty.

General Procedures for Presenters

  1. To register for the symposium as oral or poster presenter, please complete the registration from here
     • Presenter registration deadline (oral/poster): September 28, 2018.

    2. Important notes :

    • The registration of presenter automatically includes the participation registration, so it is not necessary to register for the participation shown below.
    • Please limit the number of oral presenters to one person per research group.
    • Please note that some oral presentation may be changed to poster presentation due to time limitation.

  2. Please prepare the abstract for your presentation according to the abstract submission guidelines below. The deadline for abstract submission is October 12, 2018.

  3. For those who wish to pay in advance, please send the applicable amount of registration (and mixer fee, if applicable) by bank transfer (see Fees and Payment Method page for details).

  4. The finalized program will be posted in program page. Please check your presentation date/time.

Oral Presentation

Venue : Large Multipurpose Hall (Suzukake Hall, H2 Building, 3F)
Presentation time : December 13
20 minutes (including the question and answer time)
Please check program to see your presentation time.
Requirements : Please bring your own personal computers or laptops.
LCD projectors will be provided (projector connector is VGA terminal (mini D – sub 15 pin))
Please prepare your own adaptors if necessary.
PC Setting Time : during the break time before your session start

Notes:

  • Please limit the number of oral presenters to one person per research group.
  • Please note that some oral presentation may be changed to poster presentation due to time limitation.

Poster Presentation

Venue : Lounge (Suzukake Hall, H1 Building, 3F)
Presentation time : December 12
15:10-15:55 … for odd-numbered presenters
15:55-16:40 … for even-numbered presenters
The presentation time is 45 minutes.
Requirements : ♦ The size of the poster should be A0 (portrait). Push pins will be provided for mounting. ♦
Poster setup and removal : Please set your poster on the designated place.
The posters may be set from 12:00, and should be removed by 17:00 on Wednesday, December 12.
Posters left behind will be discarded after December 13.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

  1. Oral and poster presenters should prepare their abstract in one A4 page (monochrome, black and white) according to the template (download here).

  2. Please use only the designated template file to fill in your abstract.

  3. Please convert the word file to PDF format and change the title into:
    “Oral/Poster-Surname-Affiliation.pdf”.

    For example:
    Oral-Matsuda-Titech.pdf
    Poster-Matsuda-Titech.pdf

  4. Please send both PDF and word (.docx) file via e-mail attachment to:
     • E-mail: biocatjapan2018 (at) bio.titech.ac.jp (please change "(at)" with "@")
     • E-mail subject: [Abstract Submission]
     • Abstract submission deadline: October 12, 2018
